Web Designer (Full-time)

Responsibilities:
Plan site design by clarifying goals; designing functionality
Develop site navigation by categorizing content; funneling traffic through content
Develop site content and graphics by coordinating with copywriters and marketing; designing images, icons, banners, audio enhancements, etc.
Designing graphics for other mediums including emails, direct mail pieces and internal communications such as contests & awards
Prepares site by installing and configuring server software; installing programming language using authoring & formatting tools; ensuring cross-platform compatibility; establishing links
Update content and graphics; monitoring performance and results; identifying and evaluating improvement options; introducing new technology; maintaining links.
Protect site by designing and installing security precautions
Maintain site appearance by developing and enforcing content and display standards
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Keep websites operational by troubleshooting breakdowns
Keep websites in compliance with partner branding and marketing guidelines
Installation of WordPress blogs
Qualifications:
Candidate with a specialty in graphic design and development are preferred
Adobe CS production suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash)
IE 6+, Firefox, Safari and Chrome Browsers on Mac and PC
Working knowledge of FTP
Basic knowledge of PHP and database driven websites (Code igniter experience preferred)
HTML, XHTML, HTML5, CSS skills, Web graphic production
AJAX / JavaScript / jQuery
