The ETS 2022 summer internship is a paid internship that offers a wide variety of information technology experience in a dynamic, fast-paced, live sports environment. The position also provides the opportunity for travel to both domestic and international sporting events (mainly golf and tennis).Follow the link below for a full description and for the application.
A handful of technologies and services candidates may learn and support during their internship:
• Basic switch connectivity and deployment using Cisco and Netgear equipment
• Wireless principals and mesh network deployments over large coverage areas (golf courses, event sites, etc.)
• Fiber optic cabling types, connectors, applications, and various deployment methods
• CAT5e cabling, patching, crimping
• Basic troubleshooting of physical, data link and network layers (bad crimps, distance limitations, breaks, interface issues, IPv4 and subnet validation, etc.)
• Exposure to video streaming and digital signage to our IPTV systems and LED displays using various IP encoding/decoding methods
• Various Windows 10 support requests; network connectivity, printing, setting IPv4 static or autoconfiguration
• Basic network administration tasks, including domain policies, DHCP, DNS on Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016 platforms
• Deployment automation and desktop reimaging methods (Symantec Ghost, Sysprep, scripting)
