Position Title: Desktop Administrator Intern                       Length of Internship: 12-16 weeks, with possible extension

Organization: Holmes Custom                                                 Pay Range: $12-$15/hour, based on experience

Department: Information Technology                                   Work Schedule: Mon – Fri

Number of Openings: 1                                                             Hours per Week: approx. 20 hours

Position Description: The I.T. intern will assist with general PC, laptop, desktop, troubleshooting and server support.  Will work directly with the head of I.T, which will include access to the CEO and CFO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain and document PC build processes and procedures.
  • Create, execute and maintain software and patch deployment methods.
  • PC issue diagnostics, research and correction
  • Network wiring, cabling and labeling
  • Computer imaging, installation, rollout of new desktop PC’s
  • Desktop PC setup and support
  • Assist in administration of desktop imaging system for rapid deployment of new and restored computing assets
  • Answer customer calls, work toward resolution escalating as necessary

 

Qualifications:

  • Active student
  • Completed 1 year of IT coursework
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Customer Service Oriented
