Network Operations Engineer via TekSystems

For the L2 Engineers- Assume 3 days one week and 4 days the next week. 7am-7pm shifts. Either Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Wednesday will be the swing day every other week.

Must Have:

  • At least 3-4 years working experience in the role of network administration / network operations.
  • Experience in a NOC environment, operational experience, experience with shift work
  • Strong working knowledge on Cisco networking routing and switching products.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, Multicast etc.
  • Familiar with LAN, trunking protocols, HSRP etc
  • Good knowledge of firewall operations, CHECKPOINT preferred
  • Previous Banking or relevant high pressure environment experience such as Pharma NOC
  • Experience on active incidents, ticketing systems

 

Preferred:

  • Checkpoint investigation experience
  • Experience in banking environment.
  • Familiarity with sniffers & their use in troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of Riverbed, F5, Juniper, Proxies.
  • Understanding of ITIL framework.

 

Roles / Responsibility

  • Need to perform 12 hours shifts (3 days week one, 4 week 2) and on-call escalation
  • Act as a single point of contact for technical escalation during shift hours.
  • Do shift handover with remote & on-site team.
  • Proficient in resolving, troubleshooting & leading networks related issues.
  • LAN/WAN, architecture and troubleshooting.
  • Have full understanding of operational knowledge for troubleshooting of routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, etc.
  • Have basic understanding of sniffers and how to use the sniffer for troubleshooting purposes.

Engineering level knowledge or diploma with CCNA & CCNP certified preferred but not required.

Position Overview:
AdTheorent is currently seeking a highly motivated Information Security Intern to join its Jacksonville, FL team. As a member of growing Information Security Office team, the Information Security Intern assists other members of the team in the daily support of information security services including: monitoring and analysis, alerting, reporting of security events, and metrics collection. In addition, this position assists in development and maintenance of Information Security Office in policy, standards, and guideline, metrics, training and awareness materials.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist members of Information Security Office team in reviewing information security intelligence, setup alerting and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain information security training, brochures including maintaining the Information Security Office internal documentation.
  • Prepare information security awareness and training materials and training for disbursement throughout the organization.
  • Assist in design, and launch of innovative information security features and products that are aligned with business needs
  • Provide usability studies, research and analysis into information security products technical and business requirements
  • Proactively seeks awareness of information security vulnerabilities and threats and makes recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Research and prepare reports on new information security standards and technologies.
  • Document information security guidelines and step-by-step operational procedures.
  • Prepare compliance and metric reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information security data.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Requirements:

  • Actively pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, MIS, Business or related field.
  • Basic knowledge in computer, network, cloud and web security principles and practices.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with and work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint) skills.
  • Exhibits the ability to explain technical security issues in layman’s terms.
  • Ability to react quickly to a fast-paced rapidly changing environment.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is required.
