This position is more than just your average support specialist role. You will be working with a brand new Microsoft CRM Platform and a data warehouse reporting platform. This position 50% user facing and 50% behind the scenes application support. The ideal candidate will assist with the implementation of their software and processes to help increase efficiency and effectiveness. Regular travel once per month for one week to Atlanta, GA will be expected.

2 Jacksonville Zoo networking interns – possibly paid

Florida Blue (paid) – Associate IT Business Systems Analysts

Associate IT Business Systems Analysts partner with the business to collect and analyze information needed to formulate the scope and objectives of technology solutions to support the business needs. Conducts feasibility studies, prepares user stories/business requirements, writes system and programming specifications, and works with developers to support the design of possible technology solutions. Provides input into cost estimations and project plans. Assists with preparing user acceptance criteria, test plans, and test cases and conducts functional/user testing. Prepares and maintains technical documentation including flow charts, models, and procedures, user guides, scorecards and reporting. Assists with root-cause analysis and issue resolution for the ongoing operation and maintenance of technology solutions. The Associate IT Business Systems Analyst must obtain strong knowledge of assigned business area(s) operations and the IT systems/applications used. May participate on an agile development team.

  • Supports the production of detailed functional requirements and/or user stories, including non-functional requirements (25%)
  • Assists in developing user acceptance criteria, test plans and test cases. Participates in functional/user testing (User Acceptance Testing) and provides support for user sign off of changes (20%)
  • Monitors system implementation ensuring user satisfaction and be comfortable with being hands on in support of implemented solutions. – Operational readiness, Implementation/Warranty Support, Production support, Project analytics and reporting (20%)
  • Provide functional and technical support/expertise during development, implementation, and testing of projects (15%)
  • Develops a good understanding of the business unit’s function and effectively communicates technical issues and solutions in non-technical terms to the business unit (5%)
  • Supports BSAs and Sr BSAs in business requirements gathering and determining technical impacts (5%)
  • Reviews and clarifies user stories and user acceptance criteria with the stakeholders, and works with development lead/technical architect to layout technical design (5%)
  • Develops system related documentation that includes flow charts, work flow tables, mapping documents, integration specifications and provides system training (5%)

Associate IT Developers are responsible for development, programming, coding of Information Technology solutions. Associate IT Developers are responsible for documenting detailed system specifications, participation in unit testing and maintenance of planned and unplanned internally developed applications, evaluation and performance testing of purchased products. Responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application

  • Write code for simple system designs.
  • Write code mostly for enhancing existing programs.
  • Can read and understand system and functional requirements.
  • Write simple technical specifications for single programs.
  • Report missing elements found in system and functional requirements to other Developers, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts.
  • “Scope” time, resources, etc. required to complete programming projects. Seek review from other Developers on estimates.
  • Perform unit testing and debugging. Set test conditions based upon code specifications. Seeks review by more senior Developers.
  • Supports transition of application throughout the Product Development life cycle. Document what has to be migrated.
  • Researches vendor products/alternatives.

Skills:

  • 2 or more years of professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry or equivalent combination of transferable  experience and education.
  • Experience with unit testing and release procedures.
  • Basic demonstrated proficiency using versioning tools.
  • Working knowledge of Information Technology fields and computer systems.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible team player.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently without close supervision and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance.

Job Description:

Crowley is seeking an exceptional student to work part-time in our fast-paced and exciting Process Engineering Department! This is an excellent opportunity for a student seeking approximately 20 hours per week to advance their business skills.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the setup and design of new and existing SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Online business and team sites throughout the company.
  • Working with end users regarding any issues with their SharePoint sites and coaching the users on best practices and site management through the use of the Office 365 suite of products.
  • Developing wireframes and prototypes of proposed designs for Process Engineering solutions, when needed.
  • Assisting in the development of new solutions and process improvements through the use of various Microsoft tools such as Power BI, Nintex Forms, Nintex Workflows and SharePoint.
  • Conducting user research to identify opportunities for improvements to existing tools and applications, when needed.

Other special requirements:

This position will involve interaction with internal and external customers at all levels.  We are seeking an articulate individual with a professional appearance and demeanor; someone that will serve as a true extension of the department. This position will also require basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.  Proficiency in wireframing tools and design software is preferred, but not required.
