POSITION SUMMARY:
Professional work that provides support to internal customers in using data warehouse query tools and other business intelligence applications. Participates in all technical aspects of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects through the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC). Also supports and maintains existing data warehouse subject areas.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Proficient – Working understanding of the required competencies, with some advanced skills and abilities, sufficient to successfully apply them under general supervision.
Knowledge of:
· Data warehouse concepts, principles, practices and techniques.
· Applications analysis and programming principles, practices and techniques.
· Computer hardware, software and data communications functionality and capability.
· Basic business concepts.
Skill in:
· Developing and/or supporting basic data warehouse applications.
· Using database management tools.
· Trouble shooting and solving technical problems.
· Using Fourth-Generation (4GL) or Fifth-Generation (5GL) structured programming language.
Ability to:
- Set priorities and establish a systematic course of action to ensure accomplishment of objectives on time and within budget.
- Deal with some ambiguity and make decisions with limited information.

EXAMPLES OF WORK:
· Implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware or other technologies.
· Participates in the implementation, support maintenance and enhancement of data warehouse products and services.
· Interacts with other technical team members to establish technical specifications.
· Defines user interfaces and functional specifications.
· Develops extract, transform and load (ETL) programs and business intelligence applications to meet implementation requirements or enhance customer functionality.
· Supports specified ETL programs under direct supervision.
· Performs routine testing of ETL programs affected by applications and database patches.
· Resolves escalated problems and refers new and unusual problems or situations to a higher level.
· Participates in ongoing training to continuously upgrade technical knowledge and skills.
· Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.
PERSONAL CONTACTS:
Regular contact with users in other work groups is required to obtain and clarify information, coordinate problem solving actions and provide other technical assistance.
OPEN REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline and two (2) years of professional experience in the specific computer systems analysis, software development and/or system configuration discipline being recruited.

A combination of six (6) years education and experience.
