JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Understand business requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in Java or .Net
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Minor in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Liberal Arts and Science, Information Systems or any science related field
  • Upon selection, the candidate may need to travel to other offices for 2-4 weeks to attend training and orientation so a valid passport may be required
  • 0-4 years’ experience
  • The successful candidates are expected to be familiar with software development and related concepts
  • If hired, must be able to provide documentation that states they are legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Solid communication and presentation skills
  • Problem solving skills & and a learning attitude
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Process oriented
  • Work experience in an IT environment is not mandatory but would be considered favorable
  • Certifications in Java or .NET technologies would be considered favorable

Applicant must be experienced in implementing the majority of common design patterns and Competent in at least several different application types, possibly including web, desktop, mobile, service, AppFabric, etc. The ability to act as a human ‘unit-test method,’ identifying design flaws in code written by others is a must. The Jr. Programmer Analyst assists in development, deployment, maintenance, and support of the company’s proprietary resource planning application software. This position also supports software integration and development projects for multiple database systems and interfaces. The analyst evaluates user information system needs and provides recommendations and develops solutions. The analyst performs data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing customer requests. The analyst is also responsible for QA and testing of various system applications.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or 2 years experience in programming and system analysis.
  • Above all, ability to learn and adapt proprietary technologies.
  • Skilled in problem analysis, identification, isolation, and resolution related to application and database systems.
  • Work experience and/or coursework related to Relational Database Systems required.
  • Work experience in developing, installing, configuring, implementing, and maintaining application systems, reports, and graphic presentations a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Windows required. Unix a plus.

Entry level position. Fluent knowledge of Windows 7. Working knowledge of Windows server 2003 & 2008. Fluent knowledge of virtual systems. Basic knowledge of Linux. Extraordinary troubleshooting skills both software and hardware.  Must be able to follow documentation and must have excellent oral and written skills. Must know and follow industry safety standards.  Knowledge of help desk ticketing.  Must know Dell equipment.  Apple knowledge would be wonderful but not necessary(IPad, IPhone, Mac).  MCP(Microsoft Certified Professional), CompTIA A+, N+ or S+ certifications ideal but not necessary. Working knowledge of Sharepoint. Basic telecom skills(adds, moves, changes).  Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. of supplies/equipment.  Must be knowledgeable with Backup Exec.  Group policy knowledge and scripting would be nice but not necessary. Blackberry server knowledge would be nice but necessary. Must know Exchange 2007 and 2010. SAP familiarity would be nice but not necessary.

Salary is $17-$18/hr and this is a temp to hire position for long term employment after 90 days.
