{"id":145,"date":"2012-08-23T20:58:37","date_gmt":"2012-08-23T20:58:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.fscj.edu\/robin_cole\/?p=145"},"modified":"2012-09-12T18:54:39","modified_gmt":"2012-09-12T18:54:39","slug":"database-developer-internship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.fscj.edu\/cit\/2012\/08\/23\/database-developer-internship\/","title":{"rendered":"Database Developer Internship Christ of King still needs another Database person."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you are interested in this position, and have the skills listed, please contact Dr. Cole.\u00a0 rocole@fscj.edu, especially if you are in the database track and you are needing <strong>CIS1942 to graduate this fall.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Database Developer Intern:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Join us today.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Job Description:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Christ the King School is looking for a self-starting individual interested in an internship to gain real-world experience.\u00a0 As a part time intern you will have hands on experience with the schools technology and aid the IT Department in a variety of projects.\u00a0 This position is specifically looking for an individual in the database development\/dashboard and report programming area of study.\u00a0 You will gain additional experience in gathering requirements, system design, documentation, writing code, debugging\/testing and project management.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Responsibilities:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Documenting the data infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Working on projects to add data elements to the existing data model<\/li>\n<li>Working on projects to automate manual processes<\/li>\n<li>Working on projects to create dashboard\/crystal reporting<\/li>\n<li>Writing processes\/code to perform match merge functions and automatically move data from one database to another<\/li>\n<li>Gathering business and functional requirements from internal stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Creating a design approach that fully meets the requirements for any given project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Required Qualifications:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good understanding of data modeling concepts<\/li>\n<li>Strong abilities in SQL<\/li>\n<li>Strong programming skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong testing\/debugging skills<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Good written skills<\/li>\n<li>Able to work on a team<\/li>\n<li>Able to work independently if necessary<\/li>\n<li>Detail oriented individual<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Able to work with multiple applications\/tools including MS Access, Crystal Reports etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you are interested in this position, and have the skills listed, please contact Dr. Cole.\u00a0 rocole@fscj.edu, especially if you are in the database track and you are needing CIS1942 to graduate this fall.
