{"id":147,"date":"2012-08-23T20:59:32","date_gmt":"2012-08-23T20:59:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.fscj.edu\/robin_cole\/?p=147"},"modified":"2012-08-23T20:59:32","modified_gmt":"2012-08-23T20:59:32","slug":"web-developer-intern","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.fscj.edu\/cit\/2012\/08\/23\/web-developer-intern\/","title":{"rendered":"Web Developer Intern"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you are interested in this position, and have the skills listed, please contact Dr. Cole.\u00a0 rocole@fscj.edu<\/p>\n<p><strong>Web Developer Intern:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Join us today!<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Job Description:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Christ the King School is looking for a self-starting individual interested in an internship to gain real-world experience.\u00a0 As a part time intern you will have hands on experience with the schools technology and aid the IT Department in a variety of projects.\u00a0 This position is specifically looking for an individual that works in web development.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Responsibilities:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain web content of the site<\/li>\n<li>Develop web pages that are part of phase 2 of the website redesign project, including e-commerce pages<\/li>\n<li>Develop easy to use front end UI that ties to a back-end database<\/li>\n<li>Develop back-end BI reporting\/dashboards sourced from a data structure<\/li>\n<li>Ability to get around in Photoshop; slice images, create image sprites, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Mobile Application development both in native apps, as well as the mobile web<\/li>\n<li>Research SEO best practices and implement efficiencies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Required Qualifications:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Able to create UI and backend reporting off of SQL databases<\/li>\n<li>SQL fundamentals<\/li>\n<li>HTML, and Social experience (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of Javascript fundamentals and intricacies<\/li>\n<li>Ability to get around in Photoshop; slice images, create image sprites, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of SEO, accessibility, and front-end performance best practices<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Good written skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work both independently as well as in a team<\/li>\n<li>Detail oriented individual<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Desire to continually learn more and hone your craft<\/li>\n<li>Able to work with multiple applications\/tools including MS Access, Crystal Reports, Elexio etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you are interested in this position, and have the skills listed, please contact Dr. Cole.\u00a0 rocole@fscj.edu Web Developer Intern: Join us today!
