{"id":622,"date":"2016-07-06T15:36:05","date_gmt":"2016-07-06T15:36:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.fscj.edu\/cit\/?p=622"},"modified":"2016-07-06T15:36:05","modified_gmt":"2016-07-06T15:36:05","slug":"helpdesk-position","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.fscj.edu\/cit\/2016\/07\/06\/helpdesk-position\/","title":{"rendered":"Helpdesk position"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Position Summary: <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Manages and maintains information system technologies, including software, security, new device setup for employees, and IT help desk.\u00a0<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Essential Functions:<\/b><br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Manages and oversees all aspects of information systems.\u00a0 Develops and manages system security, including back up processes.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Analyze end-user\u2019s issues thoroughly and provide accurate and user-acceptable resolution in a timely manner.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Records, tracks, escalate, and updates calls through established tracking systems.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Frequently contribute to a resolution knowledge base repository<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Installs software and hardware for end users, including printers, RAM Upgrades, PCI Cards, and other hardware devices.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Installs and configures laptops and desktops for new hires.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Confirms warranty and maintenance coverage where equipment is involved.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Performs user administration functions, including new user account creation, email account setup and security group changes<br \/>\n<b>Qualifications:<\/b><br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Associate&#8217;s degree in a related area required.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum of 3 years of technical support experience required.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 One to three years hands-on technical experience where knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g. TCP\/IP, FTP, DHCP, Telnet, routing, and client\/server computing) was demonstrated.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent communications, problem solving and customer service skills required.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience with Win 8.1\/10, MS Office 2013 is required.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must possess a professional and customer service-oriented attitude.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must be a team player with the ability to work independently.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Individual should be a fast-learner with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must be well organized and able to handle multiple tasks to successful completion.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must be motivated towards constantly improving technical skills in and out of the workplace.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Requires travel to our many branch locations.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Able to lift up to 25lbs as a normal component of system setups and moves.<\/p>\n<p>Please send resume or call Kevin <a href=\"mailto:kjunge@thecsicompanies.com\" target=\"_blank\">kjunge@thecsicompanies.com<\/a> or 904-323-4834<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Position Summary: Manages and maintains information system technologies, including software, security, new device setup for employees, and IT help desk.\u00a0 Essential Functions: \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Manages and oversees all aspects of information systems.\u00a0 Develops and manages system security, including back up processes. &hellip;
