Here are some ways to help you in this area:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Let everyone know you are looking for an internship\/job (friends, neighbors, church members, classmates, teachers, family, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Ask your acquaintances if they would put in a good word for you or introduce you to a manager in the IT department.<\/li>\n<li>Many of the larger organizations have an internship program. Search the web site or contact the HR department to find out if the company has this. CSX, Citizen&#8217;s Insurance, and Blue Cross Blue Shield are a few that I know. The CSX one is for students in the Bachelors program. It may be of longer duration and more hours than the internship class requires.<\/li>\n<li>Think about your dream company. Check with their HR department to see if they do internships. Otherwise, see if you can locate a web site that might list employees. Reach out to the IT director to see if you might volunteer.<\/li>\n<li>Use LinkedIn (or sign up for this).
