Dawn began her career with the College four years ago as an Academic Tutor – Science in the Kent Campus Library and Learning Commons (LLC). She was subsequently promoted to LLC Advisor, Learning Commons Manager, and her current position, Library and Learning Commons Manager. As the LLC Manager, Dawn is responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the LLC, including hiring, supervising, scheduling, and budget oversight. She also provides leadership in planning and implementing services to support the LLC and College initiatives.
Prior to working at FSCJ, Dawn was a middle school science teacher in the public school system for six years. During this time, Dawn discovered her passion for learning and education. Although she enjoyed her time as a public school teacher, she always felt a pull towards Higher Education.
Dawn has earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, an MBA, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership.
In her free time, Dawn enjoys time with family. She has four siblings, including an identical twin sister.
