Lisa Moore came to Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2007 after having served for many years as the Director of Policy and Compliance and prior to that Director, Professional Standards for Duval County Public Schools. In her role as Director of Policy and Compliance and the College’s Equity Officer, Lisa provides assistance in the areas of student issues, human resources/labor relations and risk management. Additionally, she serves as the EEOC officer for the College, a role recently added in January, 2012, after the retirement of the previous EEOC officer.

Originally from Macon, Georgia, Lisa earned her Bachelors in Business Administration from Georgia State University and her law degree from Mercer University. While in Jacksonville, she has also served as the Circuit Director for the Fourth Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program and as Director of the Fourth Judicial Circuit County Court Mediation Program.

Lisa is married with a teenage daughter. She loves travel (especially cruises), reading, volunteering at her church and fancies herself as a “foodie.”

Lisa’s favorite author/poet is Maya Angelou and her favorite quote is “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel,” words she says she strives to live by.
